This scarf is long and skinny and can be worn in many different ways: looped and looped and looped with ends dangling, knotted, even tied in a bow. It has a fun lacey shell edging, but it's easier to make than you'd think. The "Picot-Shell" is a stitch I developed to add some more interest to the traditional shell without working a separate row.

This PDF pattern includes a detailed color photo tutorial along with the written instructions to help you create a Skinny Scarf for yourself, or to gift. There is also a one-page text-only version of the pattern for more convenient printing, too.

**This is a PDF pattern, which you can DOWNLOAD INSTANTLY once your payment is confirmed.**

This pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner. (Please see my blog, www.AestheticNest.com for how-to-crochet tutorials.)

One size fits all. But I also provide instructions for a slightly shorter scarf for children.

MATERIALS
--For single color scarf: 2 skeins worsted weight (Cat 4) yarn (I used Stitch Nation Washable Ewe 100% superwash wool yarn in Zinnia). (You will need less than a third of the second skein of yarn)
--For two-color scarf: 1 skein worsted weight yarn (Cat 4) yarn for each of your two colors (I used Lion Brand Wool Ease)
--Size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook and L crochet hook (8.0 mm)
--Large tapestry needle for weaving in ends

This pattern will work with any worsted wedight yarn.

Thanks for your interest!
