Large Version: finished size 72" x 72"
Small Version: finished size 36" x 36"
Designed by Heather Jones
Ohio Supernova is my modern spin on the traditional Ohio Star pattern and packs quite a visual punch. The large-scale design is a great project to showcase your favorite colors of solid fabric, but it works quite well with patterned fabrics, too. It's suitable for both experienced quilters and confidant beginners as well. The Ohio Supernova pattern contains full-color illustrations and step-by-step instructions for both the large the Large Version, which finishes at 72" x 72," and the Small Version, finishing at 36" x 36." The PDF pattern of Ohio Supernova is available for you to download instantly upon receipt of your payment.
Ohio Supernova is featured in the book, "Lucky Spool's Essential Guide to Modern Quilt Making" (July 2014).

I'm not a traditional quilter but sooo love this large scale take on tradition - a specialty of yours. I'm a tad in awe of the actual quilt you made - and the quilting done by Angela Walters is stunning- can't wait to tackle it. Instructions are easy to follow and gives me confidence. Thanks heather.
I have wanted to make all 3 of these beautiful quilt patterns for some time now. I'm happy they are still available. Thanks!
