A charming turn of the century Little Beatrice model locket from the American jeweler R.B. MacDonald and Co. These lockets are very well made, tastefully designed and highly collectible. The locket is etched with a floral motif on the front face and set with clear and red rhinestones to complement the design. The verso is engraved with the initials "MP" in beautiful, gothic lettering. The locket hinges open from the bottom to reveal two compartments with their original picture rings and celluloid inserts. The rings are in excellent condition, very secure but easy to remove to place photos. Currently, the locket holds a cut out photo of a bust of a turn-of-the-century lady as well as a smiling couple. The locket is clearly marked with the company's bumble bee logo and founding date. The piece is in excellent condition, with almost no loss to the plating, all stones present and great hinge and clasp function. Not marked for gold content tests around 10K gold fill. Suspends from a goldtone link chain.

Measurements: Locket 1 1/2" diameter | Chain 24"
