Benefits of MotherMoonPads™:

MotherMoonPads™strives to create high quality, yet affordable products that will last you for years to come!
I only use the highest quality fabrics, such as organic bamboo velour, minky, cotton velour, zorb, and anti pill fleece.
All fabrics are prewashed so your pads come ready to use and won't shrink in the wash!
All winged pads close with professionally applied KAM snaps
All edges are serged
All pads are backed with polyester fleece to protect you from leaks.
Normal, Heavy, and Postpartum pads come with the first letter of their absorbency embroidered onto the wing so you will always know the absorbency of the pad you are grabbing. No more guessing!

How absorbent are MotherMoonPads™?
*Pantyliners are meant for very light days and are trim enough for use as an everyday liner
*Normal flow pads have a Zorb absorbent core, and are meant for most normal days
*Heavy flow pads have an absorbent core of organic bamboo fleece and Zorb. They are meant for most heavy flow days.
*Postpartum flow pads have two layers of Zorb for the absorbent core, and are meant for very heavy days or for postpartum use.

Frequently asked questions about MotherMoonPads

UNSNAP YOUR PAD, and turn it over so the fleece side is showing. The snap color will tell you the absorbency

Pantyliners have a white snap. They are made from just 2 layers of fabric, with no absorbent core. Use for every day or spotting.

Moderate Flow Pads have a gray snap. The soaker is made from 1 layer of Zorb. Use as a day pad, light/moderate flow.

Heavy Flow Pads have a black snap. They have soakers made from one layer of Zorb and one layer of bamboo french terry. Use for heavy flow, overnight, light postpartum.

PostPartum pads have a red snap. They have soakers made from two layers of Zorb. Use for after birth, or for very heavy flow or overnight.

MotherMoonPads are backed with a super high quality, thin Windpro fleece. This fleece is made in America from recycled materials, and is virtually waterproof.

It is still very important to change your pad when it is fully soiled, as cloth does have a limited amount of absorbency. Any oversaturated pad will leak (usually over the side), no matter what it is backed with.
This will vary from woman to woman, as each woman's flow is different. Estimate the number of disposable pads you go through each day, and then add a few to use while you are doing the wash. Cloth pads need to be changed more often than disposable pads.

While there is no set rule for how many to buy, most women will go through 3-6 cloth pads each day, depending on their flow.

PostPartum Use:

If you want to use cloth exclusively, 6-9 postpartum and 6 heavy flow will last 1 to 1.5 days. It is recommended that you change your pad at least every 2-3 hours during the postpartum period, more often with heavier bleeding.

If you use disposables in the hospital and cloth after discharge, you may be able to use heavy flow exclusively.

Please do not use: bleach, an iron over the snaps or on minky pads, downy or fabric softeners, or the sanitize cycle on your washing machine.

~ You may also rinse your cloth pad with a peroxide/water mixture after use

Minky, 100% polyester, super soft, stain resistant, thicker than cotton, fuzzy to the touch.

Cotton woven, 100% cotton, smooth to the touch, thinner than minky, feels "cooler" in hot areas, but does stain without proper care.

Cotton flannel, 100% cotton, very soft to the touch, thinner than minky, feels "cooler" in hot areas, but does stain without proper care, and becomes pilly with washing.

ALL pads are backed with high quality, made in America Windpro fleece that is virtually waterproof and relatively thin.
