Antique Enoch Morgan’s Sons Sapolio soap box crate dating the 1890’s. Tons of character! The crate has original shabby chic-ness to it with the side edge cracked off when the store keeper likely opened the box to hurriedly stock his shelves. It has a beautiful label on one side touting “Enoch Morgan’s Sons Sappolio” on one end and Seattle WASH on the other end. On the front side and back side the box is printed with the Manufacturers of Sopolio Soap and Chemicals New York.

In very good, solid condition with wonderful dovetail construction

Measurements

13L x 6.5”W x 9”H

Perfect for storage on a desk or shelf or as a shadow box hung on your wall displaying some of your favorite items.

Enoch Morgan’s History in Advertising:
Sapolio is often cited in marketing and advertising studies as an example of the result of diminishing or discontinuing advertising. After decades of maintaining some of the best known advertising in the U.S., Sapolio's owners decided that their position was sufficiently insurmountable as to let them discontinue most advertising. Despite the brand's overwhelming market position, it was overtaken by competitors within a few years and disappeared from the market before World War II.
