This little dress pattern is one that I have been working on, on and off, for quite some time. I just love this old-time period because it offers so much charm and sets a sweet mood. I am quite enamored with the name “Sissy”. All little girls in my family are called Sissy when they are little by their mothers, aunts and gram’as. A picture of a great aunt inspired this little dress.

This is one of my very favorite patterns. I love the fabrics that I chose for these dresses; they seem so appropriate for the style. Incidentally, the blue dress is made from an old shirt that a friend gave to me. Let the men in your life beware….men’s shirts are one of the best sources of fine soft cotton in the world!!! Thank you, Jimmy.

I am offering the pattern in three interpretations with three collars and three different sleeves, two have cuffs and one does not. You may leave the cuffs off for another look. You may or may not use the belt, your choice. I hope you get as much enjoyment from sewing it as I had from designing and sewing it.

This pattern may not be for the beginner. It is intended for one with at least a little sewing experience. You will notice that drawings are conspicuously absent! There are; however, the usual pattern pieces. So, before you even think of cutting your fabric, please, read these directions which are pretty comprehensive and then read them again. With the assistance of an experienced seamstress, you should be fine.

The pattern is under full copyright and may not be copied (except for your own use), shared or sold. Garments from this pattern may be made up and sold on a limited basis if credit is give to me, Med Welch of Doll Clothes Patterns by Med1, as designer.
