This Map of Britain in the Dark Ages, North Sheet shows Scotland as it was in the Dark Ages. It was published by the Ordnance Survey in 1938.

The cloth-backed map is attached to a booklet of 46 pages which explains a bit about the map and about the culture at the time covered by this map (AD 450 – 850). There are also several small maps in the booklet showing such things as Tribes and Routes, Symbol Stones, Cross Slabs with (and without) Symbols and the Vine Scroll.

The map measures approx. 87cm x 59cm ( 34.5 x 23in) and is in very good vintage condition. The outside of the booklet shows some signs of wear but this doesn’t detract from its usefulness at all.

This map and booklet are great for anyone interested in the history of the British Isles. The map itself is in fabulous bright colours and would look wonderful framed or hung on the wall!
