Antique Victorian locket with brilliants. This is a rare Beatrice, an elegantly long oval. Top of the locket has an awning of sorts, in festoons of alternating stripes. Draping below this are long feathery tendrils, tipped with brightly sparkling rhinestones. The interior has two spots for pictures, complete with original frames and celluloid inserts. Stamped with the Patent date of Feb 1903. Made by the R.B. MacDonald company, established in Attleboro Massachusetts in 1874.

They began designing these charming little Beatrice lockets in 1903, and each of them were signed with the company's initials at the top, a bee in the center, and "atrice" at the bottom. Engraved on the back with the scripted initials H S . This one comes with its original chain, a smooth and shiny long curb link, with a simple closure. In very good condition with only light wear to the gold plate. An outstanding and memorable piece.

Excluding the bale, the locket is 2 inches tall
Chain is 22 inches long

Excluding the bale, locket is 5 cm tall
Chain is 56 cm long
