I would love to create a custom hat for you or your loved ones! Just contact me and we can discuss pattern, colors, linings and other options. Together we can make a gift that can be used every day and looks great too!

Custom Order caps make great gifts! Order 2 custom caps and save $5 (see the Father and Son listing). Order 3 or more and each cap is only $25!

If your purchase is a gift, please let me know in the "Notes to Seller" section and I will not include the invoice. A small card with your well wishes can be included along with each cap purchased - just let me know how you would like it to read.

Here’s how you can find your correct hat size quickly and easily: Using a cloth measuring tape, measure around your head at the point at which your hat normally rides (approximately 1” above your ear). I find it is easier for someone else to measure for you - they can see that the tape is level all around. The sizes below are just for guidance - I will make your custom hat sized just right for your head!

21 1/8 – 21 3/4 inches around hat band

21 7/8 – 22 1/2 inches around hat band

22 5/8 – 23 3/8 inches around hat band

23 ½ – 24 3/8 inches around hat band

Here is How it Works:

Once we work out a design, I will create the cap. This will take approximately two weeks from our final choices. Then I will post a custom listing with pictures for your viewing pleasure. If it pleases you, purchase and I will send it right off.

Care of Your Cap

I machine wash and dry all fabrics once prior to cutting out the pattern – yes, even 100% wool. This creates a dense, almost felted feel to the wool that I like. In most wool blends, this creates minimal shrinkage. As a result you can wash my hats in a pinch. I recommend that you do so in cold water only then reshape the wet hat to air dry. In 100% wool, this may result in a slightly wrinkled, “fuzzier” feel but should not shrink it out of size as long as you put it on wet so it is blocked back to size. Once it is fully dry, you can iron the hat. Roll up a kitchen towel or two to form a tube to insert in the hat to iron the curves.

Pet Friendly

I share my home with my husband, four kids, two dogs, four cats, one tarantula and four goldfish. Although I try to keep the critters away from my sewing area, if you suffer from severe allergies then I may not be the hat maker for you.
