This highly unusual vintage bourbon decanter commemorates the Alaskan Oil Pipeline established in the 1970s. Alaska is shown in metallic gold surrounded by royal blue water and Canada in dark brown. The pipeline is shown, cutting through the land, in dark blue. Prudhoe Bay, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Nome, Valdez, Kodiak, Juneau, and Ketchikan are mapped. An oil tanker is shown in the bay. The back of the decanter shows the Alaskan flag as well as a informational blurb about the pipeline. The line and base of the decanter are designed to look like an oil rig. This decanter held Kentucky bourbon. It was distributed by Hoffman Distilling Co. and is dated 1975. Also written on the bottom is "Liquor Bottle 185." No bourbon is left in container.

Measures approx 8 3/8 x 6 x 2 1/4 inches.
