Turkish Hayat from 1957 with an Esther Williams cover. It has many photos and illustrations on almost every page. This magazine was the Turkish equivalent of the Life Magazine until its publication ended in the early 1980's.

13 x 9 inches (33 x 23 cm), 32 pages.

Wonderful material for your art work, tags, collages, assemblages, ATC's, background papers or as photography props. The old ads make great pop art material and it would be fun to discover some photos for interesting home decor.

It is in acceptable condition, with no writing, marks or drawings. The staples are missing and the pages are loose. All pages have tanning consistent with age and most of them display browned spots. The color photos are interestingly very lively. They actually look like those black and white movies that have been colorized later. There are wrinkles, creases and tears on the edges and near the center. The corner of the back page is torn away. No pages are missing and it has no other torn away parts.

This magazine had a very international focus and a really rich content, some of the topics that are covered in this issue include:

- Unesco international youth camp
- The Afghan King in Istanbul
- Following the tourists in Istanbul
- Reportage of an international tennis tournement
- Autumn fashion on several models
- A 2 page commentary on the making of Bonjur Tristesse and actor Francoise Sagan with several b & w photos.
- A centerfold poster of a scene from the National Liberation War of 1922.
- Also, several advice, gossip, tabloids, stories, caricatures sections and boxes
and of course lots of ads, talc powder, banks, perfume, etc...

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I can upload photos from different angles if you like.

I will gladly combine shipping. Returns are certainly accepted, please see shop policies for details. All items will be mailed in bubble envelopes with cardboard backing.

I ship worldwide and accept payments through Paypal. I use registered mail for shipping and the barcode I purchase will provide basic tracking as well as online viewable delivery confirmation. Item will be shipped within one day of cleared payment.

It usually takes between 2-4 weeks for delivery to most locations. Generally post offices hold registered mail if the first delivery attempt is a failure. Mail pieces leave the country in 3-5 days so the speed mostly depends on the traffic at the receiving end. Most national shippers provide real time tracking at their websites once they accept the mail piece and I'll be glad to keep you updated about the tracking. I can research faster shipping options if you wish.

Thanks very much for reading!
