For just one cup of coffee or tea! Sometimes you just need one cup of coffee to get you going and this is a lovely solution. Fits over most mugs.

* This listing is for the coffee maker only (mug, filters and coffee not included). Please visit my shop if you would like to purchase a mug to go with your coffee maker.

Approximate Size:
Saucer: 5" wide
Brew cup: 5" wide 4" tall

Directions for Use:
To Use: Place the coffee maker on top of the mug you would like to drink from. Place a #2 filter in the coffee maker and fill with regular drip ground coffee**. Boil your water in a teakettle or in the microwave and pour a little over the grounds in your coffee maker, just enough to soak them through or about halfway. Let the coffee “bloom” for about 30 seconds before continuing to pour the water into the coffee maker until you reach your desired amount of coffee (this time fill to the top).

** Use 1 rounded teaspoon of ground coffee for each cup of water, or experiment to reach your desired strength. I find 2 scoops works best for my taste.

About this pot:
This series of tableware was handmade from slabs of clay that were hand thrown super thin and formed over a hand thrown mold to give them a slightly wonky look. The surface of the clay has been textured through the hand formed process and the marks made are left and highlighted to celebrate the handmade nature of the piece. I hand paint all of my work using underglazes much as a painter would use paints. I also print on the surface using my own technique of blockprinting, stamping and screenprinting, the same way a collage artist might work. I treat the surface of each individual piece much like a collage or painting and work in one of a kind's and small series. Each piece is coated with studio made food safe glazes and fired in my electric kiln making them strong and safe to use on a daily basis.

About the firing process:
This series of tableware is made with a lovely high quality terracotta fired twice in my electric kiln.

Use and Care:
My pots are for everyday use as well as looking beautiful in your home. I use mine everyday and for me that means a pot that is easy to clean and sturdy. I put my work in the dishwasher and oven (avoid extreme temperature changes! NEVER put a cold pot in a hot oven!)all the time. However, dishwashers not known to be gentle so take care of your pot and if you want to be on the safe side I would recommend hand washing. Not recommended for use in the microwave.
