Whether in Washington, Philadelphia, or New Orleans in the 1850's any one of the American girls would be proud to be able to dress in this Cotton dress. It would have been worn for an evening event, an afternoon walk with someone special, or a special visit to a more wealthy host.
Spring has arrived in New Orleans and Marie-Grace or Cecile would look lovely in the courtyards of the French Quarters wearing this 1850’s day dress. Style and length on this dress is so true to the designs worn in the mid-1800’s. Dress would also be great for Josefina, Kirsten or Addy.

Cecile feels so pretty in this 1850's girl's dress in this blue, yellow and white print in it. It's self vested bodice has a wide neckline and doubled sleeves. Crocheted yellow trim finish the vest and sleeves. The back has a three snap closure with tiny yellow buttons hiding the snaps. The very full skirt has a scalloped overlay with trim. A sash tie of the fabric finished the back. Also included is a white petticoat and white pantellettes. (401-63)

The listing is for the dress, petticoat, and pantellettes only!
The doll and shoes stay with me!
Sells for $69.95.

This is made with the American Girl doll in mind, but would fit most dolls styled like her. We are not affiliated with the American Girl Company or any other doll company. I handmade this dress right here in the USA.

Not recommended for small children, with the small buttons on the front of the dress.

This dress is created from a Thimbles and Acorns Pattern. Thanks!
