A very beautiful light green blue octagonal glass ink bottle with the "sheared lip" top. This type of lip was formed by the cutting or snipping the glass free of the blowpipe with a pair or shears. This process leaves it with a stovepipe look. When held up to the light you can see the beautiful color. The glass has no chips- the top is made that way. Circa 1840-1850. You will also notice that the top of the bottle kind of leans to one side. This would be a great addition to your collection.
