Here’s a fine coin dish, nut dish or ash tray in an unusual design I’ve never seen before, perfect for that Western themed den or bar, or put it on your bureau to catch those random things out of your pockets at the end of the day.

Glazing is nice quality, richly leather colored, no crazing, cracks or chips. The holster and gun belt encircle to form the dish, with four gold-painted bullets along one side and the buckle on the other. Gold stripes detail the holster. The pistol is a lovely glossy black with scrollwork on its butt.

The underside is partially hollow, with small felt pieces to pad where it touches the table. There is one small crease in the clay near the buckle that may appear like a crack from one angle, but is just part of how the clay was formed before it was fired.

From the estate of an antiques and glass collector, age unknown as there are no identifying markings. Measures about 6 ½” by 5 ½” overall (16.5 x 14cm), 2” high at the pistol, dish portion is 1 3/8” high (3.5cm).

Gunbelt and Gun, novelty Coin dish or Ashtray, Western
