'Irish Fairytale' earrings are handmade in Ireland from rare Connemara marble. They are a little more elaborate than my usual designs, and are fit for a fairy princess going to her wedding or the ball.

Connemara marble is a scarce gemstone found only in the West of Ireland. These stones came from Galway. They are of the light-to-mid sage green variety with excellent marbling and a good sheen. My photography does not do them justice I'm afraid.

I used solid sterling silver for the hooks and slow-tarnish, silver plate for the beading, making it easier for cleaning. (instructions provided.) Using dainty, open flower caps and fluted bicones I created an elegant shape, reminiscent of a fairy queen in her ruffles and gown.

The hooks are Sterling silver, closed kidney wires. If you prefer an open, sleek hook like these, http://www.etsy.com/listing/83252095/black-celtic-earrings-irish-kilkenny, please ask in advance (subject to availability.)

Wearing 'Irish Fairytale' earrings you shall go to the ball!
