Amazing tourist souvenir platform sandals from the Philippines from the 1940s. Made from carved wood, hand painted soles, and hand beaded velvet upper. Beads spell PHILIPPINES. Hut and palm tree carved in the platform.

A gift a soldier brought home to his sweetheart during WWII.

Size not marked, estimated to be a size 5 but please look at measurements:

8 3/4" length bottom of sole
2 1/2" width ball of foot from sole
2 3/4" heel
3/4" platform

Vintage condition AS IS... beading is coming off of one shoe. Overall paint is chipped. But I still believe these are in wearable condition.
