We rarely get excited over fruit.
But then, we rarely get fruit this luscious.

This fruit chromolithograph comes from a nurseryman's catalogue printed in the 1890s (with one source placing the date at 1886) by the Stecher Lith. Co. in Rochester, N.Y.. The rare catalogue -- some of which are currently sold for over $7000.-- came in the form of a stack of brightly coloured prints of fruits, plants, and trees that resemble flash cards. The nurseryman used to carry them around and would sometimes make notes on them.

The full print is shown in the last photo. Other photos show details from the print.

Some light creasing as shown. Otherwise, this print is in very good condition. Blank on the reverse.
