Made to order-This antique heart pine door was salvaged from a rundown mansion in New Orleans' Riverbend neighborhood. The house was constructed sometime around 1880-1890. This home did not flood in Hurricane Katrina, but the door still has a beautiful patina that only time can create. Once cleaned, stripped, and refinished, the natural beauty of the wood comes through with a striking high gloss finish. I even left a rusted piece of the door hinge.

These floral ceiling tins are adorned by Fleur De Lis pressed acanthus leaves in each corner and symmetrically pressed floral patterns throughout the middle. They were originally pressed in the 1930s and were to be used in a warehouse in Laredo, Texas. The plans changed and amazingly they've never been used in construction until now! To give the tins a distinct rustic finish, I left them outside for several months in the hot New Orleans' sun and heavy thunderstorms. I've removed the rust and refinished the tins. They now have give off colors of a grayish blue, and yellow steel.

Each headboard is custom made to order. This particular headboard has already sold. But, if you want one just like it, I will work with you to determine the appropriate size, color, and pattern of each headboard. I carry a variety of different styled tins in different patterns. Shipping will be calculated depending on shipping address.
The headboards can be mounted one of two ways:

1. I can attach the headboard to your framing by building posts from heart pine or cypress beams. These reclaimed posts are made from attic beams that were once in old New Orleans mansions. This option is an additional $150

2. I can provide customers with a "French cleat". This is a two part bracket where half attaches to your bedroom wall and the other to the back of your headboard. You simply pick the headboard up and snap it in to place with the bracket on the wall. Then you push your bed frame up against the headboard. This option is an additional $30
