This gorgeous vintage Telegrafverket phone is a very cool and rare find. Its a Swedish phone from the 50s-60s.

It has an extra curved cradle to hold the receiver so that you can use it as a desk phone OR a wall phone! All you do to switch the dial from one position to the other is take out the plastic cover under the dial and remove two screws, turn the dial, and then screw back in. There is a notch at the "4" and "0" positions so there's room the for the little metal finger stop no matter which position its in. Very easy. Let me know which position you plan to use it in and I will make sure it ships that way for you!

The body looks great. There are slight scuffs here or there, but overall still very shiny and dark black. The dial turns smoothly. The dial card in the middle is original, which is a big deal on these. So I didnt mess with it at all. Ive yet to get a phone with that original dial card in it.

The phone has a slot on the very front where you can insert a card with your name or number, whatever you like. I replaced the plastic that goes over it since it was cracked and very yellow before. Under that paper slot is where the screw is to remove the phones outer body. You just slide up the paper and unscrew that one little screw to get it off. The number dial looks to be a little colored/stained. Cant really decide. It also has a modern updated plug on the cord so its ready to go as soon as you unpack!

The bells work, but sound better with the wider bell slightly loosened, so Ive left it that way. Otherwise it sounds more like a rattle than a ring. Ive included a link to a youtube video so you can hear it and see it.

Listen to the ring here:

Please let me know if you have any questions at all. Also, be sure that a rotary phone will work on your landline! Especially if you have a digital service like voip or vonage.
