The back of the frames are covered with the original brown paper (now torn) and both have stickers from Margo Alexander of California--"widely recognized for the dash and color of her original paintings and murals, this popular Western artist strove to develop a hand-reproduced technique retaining all the piquant spontaneity of the originals." The stickers bear copyright dates from 1948 through 1954.
I have not taken the prints out of the frames, but they appear to be in excellent condition and obviously hand printed (you can see the texture of the ink up close). The frames are either painted wood or another substance, and are in very good condition, with a few small signs of wear. The paper on the back is torn, but the brass hooks are still solidly attached.
Size: 10 5/8 inches across x 1 inch deep frames (27 x 2.2 cm)
