This is a very old copper scuttle with the traditional brass lion's heads on each side of the main handle, which is made of copper. The smaller handle in the back has a very old Delft-style tile threaded on it. This has built up a patina over the years and you can see lime build up or a water ring around the base, which is bowl-shaped and made of brass. If you collect old copper pieces, or have an Early American-Style kitchen, this would make a nice accent.

The scuttle measures 7 1/2"L x 7 3/4"H x 5 1/2"W - the handles are included in the measurements. There is a small dent in the side of the scuttle that you can see pretty clearly in the last picture. There are also some scratches, wear, discolorations and tarnish.
