Beautifully detailed antique engraving of the guinea pig, printed in 1892.

The color of the mat is dark coffee brown.

Having seen this charming little masterpieces of art we were not able to let them vanish, so we decided to keep them alive and recycle this way, to give them new life as matted art for everyone's pleasure.

he guinea pig (Cavia porcellus), also called the cavy, is a species of rodent belonging to the family Caviidae and the genus Cavia. Despite their common name, these animals are not in the pig family, nor are they from Guinea. They originated in the Andes.

The size of the matted print: 7,5" x 10,6" (19 x 27cm)
The size of the cutout or the inner image is about: 5,1" x 3,5" (13 x 9 cm)
