In traditionally rigged sailboats, the forward edge of a sail is held onto the mast with masthoops - strips of wood heat steamed until pliant and coiled into a hoop, which is then secured with copper rivets. The result is a strong hoop capable of withstanding the tension between sail and mast. This bracelet is made in the same way, honoring the tradition. Each one is made from white ash, grown in Maine and responsibly harvested. It is finished with an organic waterborne urethane, safe for contact with skin while providing protection for the wood.

Bracelet's inner diameter is oval - 2 3/4" at its widest, and 1" wide. It is fastened with four copper rivets. **Make sure to measure your favorite bracelet to be sure of a good fit!!**
