This Edwardian inspired capelin hat, evokes the elegance we saw in the hit PBS series, Downton Abbey. Hopefully, I have achieved that, as I immersed myself in that series ad nauseum, with the intention of completely saturating my subconscious, and create beautiful hats that reflect that elegant aesthetic.
Completely handblcoked, and hand finished, this light as a feather hat has an overlay of embroidered vintage lace on the crown, and a delicate suggestion of veiling, all in subtle hues of champagne, latte' and cream. The oversized bow accents the front of the hat, while a smaller replica accents the center back. The wide brim is wired for a sturdy edge. A discrete millinery elastic, worn under the hair, holds the hat securely in place, in case of an unexpected gust of wind. Simplicity at its finest. The perfect hat for a wedding, garden party, or the races. A one of a kind, heirloom quality piece of fine millinery.

At the moment, this is a made to order piece. Please convo me with your head size, PLUS one finger under the tape for comfort. This should be a relaxed measurement, not tight!!

NOTE: As it is necessary to ship large hats in oversized boxes, USPS charges an oversize surcharge. Thus the cost of shipping on these hats. We ship USPS Priority, with delivery confirmation and insurance.
