Pink Ivory, also called Red Ivory, umNini or umGoloty, is a very rare African wood used to make luxury products (for example billiard cues and knife handles). The Pink Ivory tree grows predominantly in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa. The wood is extremely hard. Pink ivory is the royal tree of the Zulu tribe, and it was said that anyone else possessing the the wood (including foreigners) would be punished with death. Don't worry! the story was a myth propagated by lumberjacks to increase the value, you won't be hunted by the Zulus if you buy this bowl

This Bowl has a side thickness of 1/5 inch, a bottom thickness of 1/2 inch, a width of 3 3/5 inches, and a height of 2 inches

This bowl is food safe, finished with carnuba wax and repeatedly buffed for a beautiful luster
