Constructed of salvaged, resurfaced clear cedar, the front consists of individual planks that have been edge joined. It has a non-toxic teak oil finish which brings out the natural color spectrum of the timber. The cedar body features a floating roof that soars above the entrance hole and side, and provides a clean structural break from the rest of the dwelling. It has been finished with a muted stone grey, low VOC solid stain for durability, and which allows the natural texture of the cedar to show through.

Suitable for outdoor use or as a great indoor decoration. Also absolutely appropriate as a gift for the friend with modern sensibilities.

If you choose to use this as a functional birdhouse it should be cleaned out once per season to make room for the next house guest. To simplify cleaning, the back panel pivots open on concealed hinges. No tools required and clean up is a breeze.

To hang the birdhouse, simply attach the provided philips head screw (a nail would work fine as well) to a desired location (tree, house, pole, etc.) and hang the birdhouse by the hole in the back panel.
