FACT AND FICTION:

FACT: I love all things crafted by hand in wood, but I will admit it was the graphics that drew me to this wonderful canoe shaped box, I know they're native symbols, but they look like bunting to me, and I love bunting. This lovely little box appears to be like new. It's only very small flaw is that it may have been carved green and the lid was not firmly clamped while it dried (Is that how they do it?) Anyway, the lid has a slight wow on one side (see 1st pic) My theory: all rooms need a little something ethnic. This piece serves that,at the same time meeting the contemporary graphic requirement.
12"L x 5'W X 5"T

FICTION: Walter was tired of carving the same native symbols on his work, over and over, and Spirit was in touch with the tourist market. If she could sell bunting with arrows on them, then he would carve bunting on his boats and see what happened.
