The world right now is really into random bits of this and that stitched together and stuck onto women's heads. Fascinators, they're called, and many of them are, whether because they're fascinatingly pretty, or because it's fascinating that someone would willingly put that on their head.

I happen to think octopuses are pretty fascinating, so to me it follows logically that one might want to put one on one's head, in order to carry that fascination around with you, and fascinate others. As awesome as octopuses are, very few people seem to be wearing them on their heads, so you're sure to stand out from the crowd, whether at work, a Halloween party, an afternoon in the park, high tea or even a royal wedding.

The octopus in question is hand stitched from red and black felt, with pipe cleaners in its tentacles so you can curl and pose them however you like. Uncurled, each individual tentacle is approximately 4 3/4 inches long. The octopus' head is approximately 2 3/4 long and 1 1/2 inches wide. Its eyes are needle felted from 100% Corriedale wool, and the entire octopus is sewn onto a brown plastic hair comb, which actually has quite a good grip when in your hair and stays in well. Being made from felt, the octopus is also quite lightweight.
