Vintage green Stanley metal thermos is an icon of masculine decor that has seen many fish battles and lazy Sunday afternoons.

This would make an excellent conversational piece, it's iconic as a piece of must-have masculine decor. The bottom is covered with all kinds of interesting directions on how to properly use the thermos.

Measures: 14-1/4" tall by 4" wide.

Holds: 1 quart.

Condition: Beat up, dented, scratched, in appropriate condition for a heavily used vintage fishing thermos. Appears to still be a fabulous thermos.

My grandfather and I used to go fishing in good weather when he wasn't golfing. He had a thermos just like this one he'd load up with gritty cowboy coffee, grab his tackle box, hat and rods, and we'd go off looking for a swamp or pond around Lake Ferguson to while away the afternoon. Once we caught this ridiculously large Gar that nearly took our rods with it, and some old guy on the shore of the lake offered to take it off our hands once we landed it, gasping and snarling it's teeth at us. Most of the time we caught catfish and brim, and we'd keep 'em in a pail of water until it was time to go home and cook 'em up in his cast iron skillet. The back yard grass was littered all summer with the translucent glittering sequin scales of fish long ago eaten.
