The meeting is dragging on, people are trapped in a loop rehashing old topics and you… you’re stuck doodling in the margins. Or playing Angry Birds—but I think they’d sue me if I started slapping beaks on the horses.

This little gal was a refugee from my seven year old body body and her previous paint job needed a lot of love. (You can see older pics on my blog). Instead of stripping her all the way down I decided to build on what I had—which means she's a little too rough to be a Live Show Quality horse!

I cleaned up the basecoat and repainted her a shaded teal (darker points), although it's harder to see that now that she's doodled. You can see the color a bit better in some of the in-progress pics from the blog.

The doodles mimic a tovero (paint/pinto) pattern and are relatively realistic, but not totally accurate. Then again, she's a Doodle Pony, she's got an Artistic License and isn't afraid to use it! ;)

The Pigma pen turned out to be much more of a smudge-magnet than expected, so if I do another horse using one I think I’ll pick up a can of Workable Fixative. There’s a lot of touch-up work on this little gal and it was harder to match the blended basecoat than expected.

She should make a great Photo Shower or a rocking shelf piece!
