A hood that comes all the way to meet the cardigan buttoned front...and creates a cool cowel look when down. This one has pockets, Thumb holes, and of course, a squiggly hood!

My sizing chart:
These measurements are the measurement around the chest, just under the armpit:
extra large=45-46"
3XL=49-50" This one is at 49"
It has arms, from side to sise and through the middle, at 70"...with thumbholes
The overall length from top of shoulder to hem is 46"
For the sake of comparison, the person in the coat (that'd be me) is just under 6' and a size 12 or 14.

My husband coined the name "Frankensweater" for a much loved sweater that I refused to let die. I added old socks on to the sleeves when they had frayed off a few inches, and a scarf onto the bottom as it continued to shrink.
When he saw my new projects he dubbed the "frankensweaters" (lower case "f"). His words give me direction. So I scavenge charity sales on their final days, sifting through the dregs and promising the pieces that get put in my "bag for a buck" that when I am through with them, they will be something truly remarkable (oh, and there's at least one old sock hiding in each).
I try to have as little waste as possible. With odd thread ends, the leavings of sweaters, tags, and empty spools, I usually have one (normal household)dustpan worth of leavings. I am always working to make this less. I am also working to make these 100% recycled, but as of yet, haven't found a way to reuse thread. I'm up for suggestions, and until then, only 99.8%!

Every sweater is washed once in hot water and dried on high before I begin. This, however, only means it Shouldn't shrink any more, not that it won't.

Machine wash COLD, DRY FLAT!!!
Please fold to store, with the hood twist on top. The weight of these pieces is enough to put undue stress on the shoulders if hung.

Note, any returns must happen before you wash it.

And please remember, I work with unwanted sweaters. You may find patches, mends, signs of it's last life. I don't like stains, and will avoid them, and unravelling is unacceptable, but other character marks may be in the final piece.
