The rustic and simple copper wire work on this pendant was done by hand and was designed as a wavy cage-like wrap. The copper was meant to enhance the inherit beauty of the natural quartz tip. I used 18 gauge copper wire.
The primary focus of the copper pendant is the citrine quartz crystal. The natural mineral have a clear and white top portion and yellow to rich golden brown tip. The mineral itself has growth surfaces, lines that indicate how the mineral formed. This mineral is really an intriguing piece and would be appreciated by geologists, rockhounds, or mineral collectors in addition to anyone looking for a unique and natural pendant. The pendant itself is approximately 2" long and about 1" wide at the widest part.
The pendant is on a hand crocheted ladder ribbon 'chain' necklace. It can be tied to the desired length so it is adjustable. The crocheted portion of the ribbon is approximately 28" long and has approximately 8 1/2" long ribbon ends. The ribbon does not have any metal in it, however, it does have copper, bronze, brass, and silver hues as well as a black frame work. The metallic like hues in the ribbon compliment and enhance the golden browns in the citrine crystal.
This necklace and pendant has rich colors and a unique design. Citrine is metaphysically thought to be a success stone since it promotes prosperity and abundance as well as .dissipates negative energies.
