This is a hand painted tile trivet or spoon rest. I painted it with with white flowers with deep blue centers. Green leaves and vines swirl around the flowers giving it depth and vitality. This functional trivet is a great way to add a bold splash of color to your table. It would make a great gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself.

I used acrylic paint which I allowed to air cure for 24 hours and then baked in the oven to further set the paint. Then it was given three coats of varnish which gives the surface a textural appearance. This is an actual tile so the back is rough and uneven. I painted it white for a cleaner look. I also added felt pads so it won't mar the surface it's placed on. If it needs to be cleaned you can just wipe with a damp cloth or hand wash with a mild dish detergent.
