Ms. Jeannie loves when she comes across an antique item that is still prevalent today. And that is exactly the case with this thrifty little hardcover cookbook published in 1915.

Low Cost Cooking: A Manual of Cooking, Diet, Home Management and Care of Children for Housekeepers Who must Conduct Their Homes with Small Expenditure of Money by Florence Nesbitt is a time capsule of proper thoughts and attitudes of the Edwardian era mother. It's 127 pages provides a bevy of economical menus broken down by season, by week and by cost. It also has information on homemaking, food preparation and presentation, nutritional information for children and adults and how to budget your monthly grocery bill.

Contains inquisitive little chapters titles including: Business of Home-Making, Central Household Directions, Home-Made Fireless and when Mother Works Outside the Home
