I was working on crocheted straps for dresses when I had a flash, seeing the starfish and the leaves all together molded into a hat. In fact, I was searching a long time ago for an open knit or crochet hat for summer time and bad hair days. Here it comes when I was not searching for. Let see where it will bring my project.

I'm inspired by the nature around me and as you can see stars are a recurrent design into my creations. My house is lost in the country and the sky is very deep and I appreciate each I could admire the magnificence of the sky, the stars and the moon. This freeform crochet hat is a special dedicace to my best friend who bring me to my first travel along the breathtaking seascapes of Gaspesia. The crochet beanie is mostly made of starfish in earthy tones, and shells forms.

I work mostly with natural fibers and I'm addicted to Noro. This beanie hat is made of grey green and beige cotton, silk, wool and mohair. There is also 3 stars made of repurposed leather (from my mother's bag I can't stand anymore). They are adorned with eyelets and crocheted all along the edges. This crochet bonnet as a string to adjust to any sizes, made of unfinished tea stained cotton gauze. Most of the summer hat is made of beige and brown, with hints of pink and blue. It is not a warm piece, of course. You can turn it and decide witch flowers you want in front and the sides, there is many ways to wear it and vary its style.

The flapper hat has a circumference of 26" and it is shown on a model head of 24", it will fit to any size due to the string that allow you to adjust it perfectly to your head. The crochet beanie is fitted on the model's head at 24".

This free form crochet hat is unique and one of a kind and I canno't duplicate it. Once it is gone, it is gone. You are sure to wear a unique piece.

It is better to avoid to emerge the crocheted hat into water because it will lost its original shape. You should use a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Frequently asked questions about mynoush

I recieved many request for custom clothing orders. Unfortunatly, I can't take custom orders. I do not duplicate sold items, or make two items from different sizes. But, I do shorten straps, take a few inches on the sides to make pants or dresses smaller.
This is a question of organisation and space management.

For hats, I regularly add bunch of new hats so I invite you to come back to see if you can find the color you are searching for.

I do not take custom orders, I do clay once a year in summer. Next dreads beads will come in summer 2016.
I have customers all around the world with different sizing systems. This is why I choose to give key measures of the clothing I make. I could give you an approximation of the US size of cloth, because Im from Canada. But the best way to know if a piece will work for you is to take a similar clothing in your wardrobe and compare its measures to the one in my shop. You can send me your measures, it help. Always remember that you need extra inches to be able to move into a jacket, except for stretch tanks.

If you don't have a ribbon ruler, you can take a piece of thread, yarn of ribbon, non stretch, and report the measure on your flat ruler.
I live in Quebec, Canada. I only work with fiber from canadian farms, trying to encourage local farms as much as possible. I live near a large alpaca farm, so all my alpaca fiber is coming from there. I also work with others canadian farms to work with their fleeces, like angora goats for mohair, and sheeps for lincoln locks, cotswold, corriedale and romney. Im a big fan of textured yarn so I mostly spin directly for the locks to preserve their shape and show their natural beauty. I also dye myself all the yarn.
