Anthea was made in 2011. She's 17 (about 43 cm) inches tall and dressed in the style of ancient Greece. Her dress is not historically accurate, but my take on the style of that time. Her gown - chiton - is made from a periwinkle blue cotton and is fastened along the arms by decorative stitches in a green thread. Her cloak - himation - is made from a moss green cotton. She also wears a braided belt of blue, green and rose colored fibers.

Her hair is made from braided mohair and held back in a ponytail by a wide band made of red felt and decorated with a silver ornament.

On her right wrist is a twisted wire bracelet decorated with moss agate chips and on her left wrist is a triple strand of pale colored mixed beads. She also wears rings on each hand. Her earrings are rust colored beads in a metal setting with black seed beads.

She stands with a slight turn to her body and looking right, as though turning to look at someone or something. Her face was done with colored pens and pencils and pastel pencils and sealed to prevent damage.

Anthea is attached to a fabric covered wood base.

We have a smoke free home, but we do have two cats and a dog. Before wrapping and shipping, I go over each doll with a lint brush and critical eye, but I cannot guarantee any doll will be free of all pet hair.
