The Maine Woodsman can hunt, fish, trap or track all of the wildlife in Maine. He is proficient at cutting timber, laying up a cabin or lean-to, hanging a new axe handle, paddling a canoe, setting up camp or cooking over an open fire. It is to this last skill that we dedicate our Maine Woodsman Frying Pan.

While a Maine Woodsman has been known to skip a meal in the heat of the hunt, taking the time to start a small cookfire will settle your innards and keep you on your feet longer. While your food is simmering in your Maine Woodsman Frying Pan you have time to plan the day whether that be rolling up the next log on the cabin or tracking the wily whitetail.

The Maine Woodsman Frying Pan is authentic hand forged carbon steel. It is lightweight (just 24oz.) and has a folding handle to save space in your pack basket. The Pan measures 9.25 inches rim to rim and the cooking surface is 7 inches. Look for our small folding trivet and camp utensils to complete your kit.

A Maine Woodsman has never been lost in the woods. He may have been turned around for a day or two but never lost. If you do get turned around, stop, start a cookfire, break out your trusty Maine Woodsman Frying Pan and have a meal. Purchased the Maine Woodsman “Frying Pan 9” Folding Handle for my 6 month UK/Europe bike tour this summer. It’s heavier than titanium, but I wanted to find something that would evenly cook eggs, meat, and work well for sauteing vegetables while camping. The pan is well constructed and heats up fairly quickly. While using the pan for the first time, I did not have any problems with the folding handle being too hot. I look forward to using the pan more in the future and will definitely be handing this down to my son.
