These primitive pilgrims are so sweet....I sewed the pieces together, stuffed each, then sewed the parts together. I then pin the noses. I stained them and set outside to dry in the hot sun. When done I used stained white and black floss and added eyes and then used stained red floss and added a mouth. I dress them in the clothing unstained since it is wool, added a stained bib out of muslin around their necks. I then needle-felted brown wool hair to each of their heads and added a hat for Josiah and bonnet for Mary. Their feet I painted black for boots and let dry.
I then made a pumpkin out of osanburg 1 layer, gathered around it and painted it orange. I added a stick to the top for a stem..made to order

Josiah and Mary Crackstone are hard working pilgrims. They arrived in the new land hoping to start a new life of religious freedom. Little did they know the challenges they would face to get to where they are today.
Josiah is a hard working blacksmith. He tends to everyone's needs of the village and sometimes he doesn't make it home until the wee hours of morn. He provides for his family and is loved by them all.
Josiah also is a church going man and as you can see he has brought out his Sunday best to take these pictures. He is in full attire in his blue wool suit, bib and hat.

June tends to everything in the house. Cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children and doing everything that the house needs. She is the glue that keeps it all together. She loves to sew so she does in her spare time which is not much get together with other women in the community and make quilts and stitcheries. Wouldn't you like to own a few? I know I would! She also is a church going woman and she has dressed up in her Sunday best too for the pictures. She has on a wool dress to match Josiah. She also has decided to bring a prize pumpkin from the fields to show you all as she is proud of her work.

These Crackstone's will bring a smile to everyone's faces in your prim home this fall. Be sure to look for them soon.

I made the Crackstone's because I wanted to add on to the pilgrims I made last year the Websters. I felt like they could be in the same village or they could have met up on the road. The story can go so many ways. I came up with the idea for them when I made the witches of eastwick. I said why not use the same pattern and make some pilgrims too. I am very pleased with how they turned out. made to order
If the item is made to order clothing and accessories may vary from the picture due to what I have in stock. If wanting it like the pic, please email me and ask if I have it available before purchasing. Please be aware if the item is made to order, it will not look "EXACTLY" like the one in the pic, if it did I would be a machine. Each item is handmade and unique in design. I will try to get it as close as possible but in no way can I make it look exactly like the one in the pic.
