I created these earrings with the Civil War reenactor in mind but they would be a nice touch to a present day ensemble.

Black jewelry became very popular when Queen Victoria went into mourning,
having lost both her mother and her husband in 1861.

Black onyx cabachons are mounted in a gold-plated setting with French hooks.
Vintage black faceted glass buttons dangle from the bottom edge of the setting.

Very period appropriate for the 1850's through the 1880's.
