These are 1950's French Foreign Legion Boots. They were regular issue during the French Algerian and Indochine wars. Palladium,Bonusage,Vernon and several other companies made these boots for France. These boots are made by Paraflac and are very rare. They have black rubberized waterproof tops on the shoes with brush marks to simulate camouflage. The insoles are woven hemp and are removable They are stamped 1957 on the inside.

In all of my years of collecting militaria, I have some neat variations of these boots but these are the most unusual.

They are unissed but have very light scuffs from long term storage in a French military warehouse. There is an original factory paper tag on the back that is stamped 47. The tag is easily removed with warm water. Overall they are in very good shape and are very heavy duty and look nearly brand new.

They are a 47 European or a US size 12 1/2.

The soles are 12 7/8" long and 4 1/2" wide.
