Copper and brass tankards, set of five by Jean Paul Théveud, Meilleur Ouvrier de France. This set of five tankards are mostly copper with brass bands at the top and bottom and a brass handle and bottom. The largest is stamped 'Jean Paul Théveud, Meilleur Ouvrier de France'. Each tankard is also stamped with a not for food use symbol - they are for display only.

The largest tankard is 6¾ins (17cm) high and 3¾ins (9.5cm) in diameter across the bottom. The smallest tankard is 3¼ins (8cm) high and 2¼ins (5.5cm) in diameter across the bottom. All the tankards are in good condition, I can find one very small dent in the middle sized tankard but that is all.

The Meilleur Ouvrier de France - the best craftsman in France, is a title awarded every four years to professional workers in their chosen field of work. The title was first awarded in 1929. These tankards date to the 1980s - the recipient of the title can use the honour on all works for life.

These are a set of five high quality tankards that would look great displayed in a rustic or country farmhouse kitchen.
