Vintage Cobalt Satsuma with bamboo subject.
Satsuma is a type of ceramic made in Japan for export, they were made in Kyoto then sent to Tokyo to be decorated.
This particular button is covered with deep cobalt blue underglaze and the bamboo decoration is outlined in gold with green highlights as well as a gold rim.
Lovely button in excellent condition.
