A beautiful little handmade soft sculpture of a spider with markings made from old buttons.
Stuffed very firmly and tightly these little bugs are ready to add a little life to a quiet space.
A little bit new Victorian and a little bit handsome.
Made from a beautiful blood red heavy fabric.
Iron wire is threaded through at all the leg joints and these are locked together with vintage black buttons.
His abdomen is dotted in pearly white and round black buttons.
Flaws and odd stitching are celebrated and are to expected.
Designed as a decorative object he is both charming and utterly unique.
Would look great crawling across a bookshelf or inside a bell jar.
Can be hung simply from a ring on the reverse crawling up or downwards.
Nothing I make is designed to be given to a child/baby as they are delicate items which contain wire and beads.
This spider body is approx 6.5cm in width and approx length is 16cm (not including legs or antennae!)Roughly the diameter of the body and legs is 23 x 23cm they can be pulled out or pushed in with care or make him bigger or smaller.
These bugs are for decoration only and are not intended to have the wire constantly bent and pulled.
He will be sent out recorded so can be tracked and signed for on delivery.
Thanks for looking!
This listing is for one spider, no photographic props are included.
