This vintage spring scarf is printed with large blue tulips and green leaves on a white background with light blue edging. It has a soft texture and drapes well. The fabric is not too heavy, to let the breeze through, and it doesn't rustle or resist tying. It's a wonderful and flattering accessory for your spring ensemble, and makes me think of a bright blue sky on a perfect vacation!

This scarf has one more feature that makes it a must-have: It is easily washable! Many scarves require dry cleaning, but not this one! It is 100% polyester, hand-washable, and can be pressed while still damp, using a cool iron. The exact words on the label say, "RN66966 (an item number), 100% Polyester. Made in Italy. Warm hand wash separately. Cool iron while everly (I think this is a typo) damp." It has a machine-sewn hem.

I have tied it on the mannequin in two easy styles. The first one is called the "Dog Ear." All you have to do is fold it in half, into a triangle, cross the two ends behind your neck, tuck them under the "bib" in front, and if desired, fold under the point on the "bib." The other style is classic, as well. Fold it into a triangle and roll it into a tube, starting at the top of the triangle and rolling loosely toward the long side. Throw one end of the roll over your shoulder, and leave the other hanging loose in front. Effortless style!

Condition notes: This scarf does have several pin holes, mostly near the corners, and it has two small brownish spot stains in two corners, which look almost like drops of tea got on the scarf. There is also some blotchy fading on the blue border (see last photo), and a faint pinkish tinge on the white border on one edge, which you can barely see in the lead photo. I have hand washed this scarf in Woolite detergent, and succeeded in getting the brownish stains to fade a little after several minutes of scrubbing and soaking. If you want to try stronger stain removal efforts, I don't recommend bleach, since that can yellow the fabric and possibly make it brittle. I am selling this scarf as-is, and have tried my best to represent the damage well in the description and photos.

I ship all scarves sealed in plastic bags inside the envelope to try to protect them from moisture or odor damage. I am shipping this one first class domestic with delivery confirmation, or first class international. Where possible, I always try to combine shipping and ship multiple items in the same package.
