I was so happy to find this postcard set. This is a postcard of one of 80 paintings collected by the Emperor in the Meiji Period. . 80 paintings are preserved at the art gallery in Tokyo named "Meiji Jingu Gaiden / Shotoku Kinen Kaigakan".

On this postcard, there is an emperor in portable shrine called "Mikoshi" (retainers carried this shrine for any place emperor went) surrounded by lots of his retainer and watching harvest (reaping wheat) by local farmers. This is a post card made from the painting.

It is in excellent condition!

This would be beautiful framed and displayed but it could also be used in mixed media art.

It measures 9cm x 14cm.
