This cardboard box once held scented powder made by Ed. Pinaud of Paris. The dark green background, lilacs and gold trim and lettering make for a very lovely early 1900's decorative collectible. I love the product list on the bottom. The box features the Place Vendome address. This showroom was completed in 1897. (The 5th Avenue, NY showroom was opened in 1920. There is no mention of this address on the box so I am dating it to before 1920.)

The box is in very good vintage condition - no holes or tears. There is a small amount of wear at the edges and corners. The box measures 3 5/16 inches square and is 1 3/8 inches high at the edges. The center is slightly domed and higher.
