These are beautiful vintage glass scarab cabochons from 1940's Germany. They have lovely detail, as well as "carved" hieroglyphics on the flat backs (see top left scarab) These scarabs are made of 2 colors of blue glass, mottled and speckled, with the addition of tiny copper aventurine inclusions, intended to look like lapiz lazuli. These really lovely cabochons measure 8x6mm, shown with 1 inch square art for your size estimates. The photos show six but you will receive eight (8) of these vintage glass scarab cabochons.

Germany was occupied by the Allies from 1945 until 1949, and these cabochons were made in the US Zone of Allied-occupied Germany during that time.
