This is an unused vintage postcard with a reproduction of a painting of two children standing in a stream, holding something in a piece of cloth that looks like a baby. A bucket sits on the bank of the stream. The quote is from the song "Auld Lang Syne":

"We twa hae paidl't in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne."

The back is marked "Printed in Great Britain" and "Valentine's Series." The card has indentation marks at all four corners apparently made by a holder that it was previously kept in, as the marks are uniform. The corners are also a little bit worn, and there are a couple places where the finish is worn off the front of the card.

This postcard came from a large collection of about 300 I recently purchased at an estate auction.
