Mid Century Ceramic Pottery Planter: This vintage planter was made in the USA by Ungemach Pottery of Roseville, Ohio. UPCO as it was known, was founded by Fred Ungemach, a former designer for McCoy Pottery.
This planter has an extraordinary offset rectangle design with lines that reflect a classic mid century modern aesthetic. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. If you look closely, you will see some bare unglazed patches along the sides. These are not chips but rather "glaze crawling" This happens during the firing process when the surface the glaze is applied to is a little slick. The glaze crawls to an area it can hold onto better.

This planter is marked OPCO 273 USA and measures approximately 8 long x 4" wide x 3" high.
